Another good prompt by http://thesecretkeeper.net/2016/01/11/weekly-writing-prompt-19/

*In the form of Tanka, 5 lines- 5-7-5-7-7 syllables
Using the words: reason, break, give, rain*

Reason for joy
Break in majestically
Through the clouds
Over power bad rain
To give earth hope

Stay Frosty gents and gentesess.

      1. Ah shucks, you’re making me blush. I am always an inspired student of waka, so many forms to try out, eh? Tanka is a lovely form to tell a story and you did this with eloquence. Hope you are well…here we have until January 15th to wish people happy new year…alors, bonne et heureuse année mon ami.

  1. I love your taking the fifth word stay and adding it at the end. Your words reminded me of the season and I felt a chill. A unique tanka. You opted for creativity beyond the barriers. It it’s a choice between getting the syllables exact then it certainly alright to blend your tanka with inspiration and a touch of some free verse poetic style. If it feels good for you, that is what it is all about. I love your image and I enjoyed your poem and wish to Stay Frosty. Personally, I am yearning for Spring. It’s cold in New England. = jk 🙂
